A platform for discovering outdoor adventures
We built the complete technology platform for Buqtivity, a sports and recreation discovery service connecting people with outdoor activities, events, and challenges across Croatia.
The Client
Buqtivity is a Croatian sports and recreation platform that helps people discover and book outdoor activities, fitness events, and adventure experiences. From cycling and water sports to yoga, running clubs, and motorsport activities, the platform brings together event organizers, tour guides, and companies with people looking for their next adventure. Buqtivity covers destinations across Croatia, with partner brands including Intersport, Proteini.si, and Polleo Sport.
The Challenge
Buqtivity needed a full technology platform built from scratch before their summer launch. The system had to support multiple user types (event organizers, tour guides, companies, and end users), handle event listings with location-based discovery, integrate booking and ticketing, and provide content features like a blog and newsletter. Everything needed to be ready to scale from day one when operations begin.
Our Role
We designed and built the entire Buqtivity platform from the ground up, delivering a production-ready system ahead of their planned summer season launch. The platform covers everything from the public-facing website to the internal tools needed to manage events, partners, and content.
What We Built
Adventure discovery platform
Website
The public platform at hr.buqtivity.com where users discover activities by destination, date range, and activity type. Features event listings, destination guides, a blog, testimonials, newsletter signup, and partner branding. Supports search and filtering across multiple activity categories.
Event & Booking System
The core system that powers event creation, scheduling, and ticket booking. Supports different event types including adventures, fitness activities, and competitive challenges. Handles availability, pricing, and attendee management.
Partner Portals
Dedicated signup and management portals for tour guides and companies. Partners can register, create and manage their event listings, track bookings, and build their presence on the platform.
Content & CMS
A content management system powering the blog ("Blogtivity"), destination pages, testimonials, and newsletter. Allows the Buqtivity team to publish articles, manage SEO content, and keep the platform fresh with new stories and guides.
Current Status
The platform is fully built and live. Buqtivity is preparing to begin full operations this summer season, at which point the system will start handling real event bookings, partner onboarding, and community growth across Croatian destinations.
